INSPECTION FOR DAMAGE

RENTER MUST INSPECT EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR OF RENTAL FOR ANY DAMAGE PRIOR TO TAKING DELIVERY. Any damage while renting will be billed to the renter. Get Away RV Rentals has up to 3 (Three) days for inspection of any damage.

RESERVATIONS

A unit is considered reserved when a completed RESERVATION AGREEMENT is received, approved and funds have been collected.

CANCELLATION POLICY

The upfront deposit of $250.00 applies to your balance and is refundable if your dates are canceled 30 days or more from your reservation dates minus $75.00 as a cancellation Fee. If you cancel 29 days or less your full deposit is forfeited.

Deposit/Payment

A $250 down payment is required to reserve the RV (all $250 will apply toward your rental charges.) All rental charges must be paid 14 days before your reservation. If booking within 30 days of your reservation, balance is due upon booking, Get Away RV Rentals accepts cash, cashier’s checks, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. If paying by check we require a separate check for a $500 security deposit. If paying by card then this is the card we will use if any damages do occur. Once the rental unit has been returned & inspected your check will be destroyed.

CLEANING

You are responsible for cleaning the inside of the trailer before you check out. Wiping down all countertops, disposing of all trash and sweeping out the unit. Other wise we charge a minimum $75 cleaning fee. In addition all unit gets cleaned and sanitized by our staff between each rental.

WASTE TANK EVACUATION (DUMPING)

If you are dry camping there is a $35 dump fee unless you dump it yourself.

Fuel and Propane

Fuel and propane tanks are released full and must be returned full (unless RV is delivered to your campsite). If they are not there will a refueling charge of $25.00 plus the cost of fuel.

TRAILER RENTALS DO NOT INCLUDE HOOK

The Renter is responsible for having the right hitch, receiver ball, electrical plug and brake control device needed to meet California requirements. This requires having a 2-5/16” ball, a 7 prong electrical plug and a brake control device mounted inside the tow vehicle. Trailers weighing over 5,000 lbs require the use of a special ball mount that is solid steel or a weight distribution hitch. These hitches are available for rent for $35.

DRY CAMPING

When a renter is dry camping (not connected to an external power source) and is relying solely on the battery for their power source, problems may arise due to the battery going low. This may cause the appliances to malfunction or to not work at all. Get Away RV Rentals is not responsible for, nor will give any reimbursements for dry camping malfunctions.

GENERATORS ARE AVAILABLE TO RENT WITH TRAVEL TRAILERS

Generators are 3,000 watt and will handle most loads. Be advised that when running A/C's, it is not advised to run other not mounted appliances i.e. hair dryers, curling irons or chargers for phones and computers. Most vehicles are equipped with onboard 110 volt AC generators. Portable generators are available for $35 per day.

INSURANCE COVERAGE

In case of an accident, Get Away RV Rentals must be notified as soon as possible no later than 6 hours from the time of the event. A copy of the full police report is required if applicable to the event. If a police report is not needed, a full written accident report will be filled out at the time of return. Failure to comply will result in the forfeiture of your security deposit.

Towable Units: The liability coverage on your tow vehicle should automatically extend to the rental unit while it is attached to your vehicle. Proof of insurance on tow vehicle is required before departure. Get Away RV Rentals provides full coverage (liability, comp, & collision) when the unit is disconnected from the tow vehicle with a $500 deductible. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DEDUCTIBLE, PER EACH OCCURANCE.

NEGLIGENT DAMAGE

All damage resulting from negligence, carelessness or inattentiveness on your behalf is your responsibility. This includes all off road damage, damage to the undercarriage, damage to or below the bumper line, any damage while intoxicated or while committing a crime or driving illegally. Interior damage is also considered negligent.

MECHANICAL FAILURES AND BREAKDOWNS

In the event that a breakdown or mechanical failure should occur, we will automatically reimburse your for anything under $100.00. For amounts greater than $100.00, call us. We will pay for legitimate, pre-authorized repairs provided invoices and receipts are presented. Refunds will not be made with a receipt. Obviously, if the breakdown or mechanical failure is due to your misuse of the vehicle, you are liable for all repairs. The air conditioning, awning, stereo and microwave are considered convenience items and if any malfunctions should occur on these items, no compensation will be made to the renter.

RENTAL RATES

There is a 3 night minimum except between December and March we allow 2 night rentals. A rental unit is charged by the night, similar to a hotel, with defined check out and drop off times. Rentals must be returned by 11 am the day the rental is due back. This policy assures that there will be enough time to get the unit ready for an afternoon rental departure. There are no refunds for early returns. Please see our rental rate sheets for specific rental rates.

RENTAL PICK UPS AND RETURNS

  • Pick-ups 11:00-3:00 pm Sunday-Sunday

  • Returns 9:00 – 11:00 am Sunday-Sunday

  • A half day rental will be charged for late returns between 11am-1pm, a full day rental will be charged for late returns between 1pm and 4pm.

AVAILABILITY

We reserve the right to substitute a unit of equal or greater value should a reserved unit become unavailable though damage, breakdown, theft, or any circumstances beyond our control. Should a suitable substitute not be available, our liability is strictly limited to the refunding of applicant's reservation deposit.

LEVELING BLOCKS

We provide leveling blocks for all rentals. All blocks must be returned or a charge of $45.00 will be billed to the Renter.

OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • Rentals may not be towed or driven to Mexico, Alaska, or on any beach.

  • Pets are allowed but NO SMOKING IN ANY RENTAL UNIT, RENTER WILL BE CHARGED A CLEANING FEE
